Chamber Day
Contributor
We have a correction to this morning’s update.
On 3/26, Francesco Cameli made a $1,000 Challenge donation in recognition of the Chamber’s overall general support of the tech diving community. Although we entered his donation in our overall totals (so the total we published this morning is still correct) and mentioned it in the text for the 3/26 update, we forgot to include Francesco in our list of donors that appears below. So we’re rectifying that now. Our apologies for the omission.
In our e-mails back-and-forth today, Francesco told me that he’s trying to help set an example for the rest of the tech-diving community. And he makes a good point.
Anything we, as divers, do that increases our nitrogen load – diving deeper or diving longer are the two most obvious – we cut down on the margin of error (remember that all of our calculations, whether by computer or table, are mathematical formulas that may or may not pertain to your specific body physiology) which then increases the possible of something going wrong that will require Chamber treatment.
So it would seem that if you are a tech diver, you will be even more motivated than usual to ensure that our Chamber stays financially sound and ready to respond 24/7/365. And you do that by heeding Francesco’s call and making a donation to the Chamber Challenge.
We’d love to hear from you. Who’s next??? Here’s the direct link to the donation page: https://usc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_88ko1OUej3lAYbI
