The BP/W IS a BC! You already know how to dive with a BC. The drysuit is a significant change, though, and requires some training, coaching, practice.

Weighting, trim, buoyancy are all different with the drysuit, so you might as well learn them with the BP/W that you plan to use from now on.

True, but he's diving with a jacket style. It will take a few dives to get used to the new orientation created by the wings.
