Indonesia has increased the quarantine of vaccinated travelers from 3 days to 7 days (those holding the 211A visa)

That's going to wipe out most of the Liveaboards who were hoping and helping folks get on early 2022 trips

Thanks for the heads up. That’s a wrong direction. What’s the reason? Omicron variant is in Indonesia now?

Speaking to a few different operators and land based operations. They all have been happy to continue to hold deposit free reservations for early 2022.

They are of the opinion that Indonesia will go back to 3 day quarantine after new years if all is calm.

For those lucky enough, you can use miles for the flight and have a realtively easy time canceling bookings with no penalties if things make a turn for for the worst

Here is to hoping that 10 days is being done to discourage traveling over the holidays and come Jan 3 it goes back down to 3!

“Indonesian nationals who have lived or transit in the “Omicron variant" countries may be able to enter Indonesia with a 14-day mandatory quarantine. For other international travelers will have to undertake 10 days of quarantine effective immediately on December 2, 2021 until further notice.”
