Last year, I posted that two of my buddies and I had spotted a juvenile Lionfish off of Narragansett RI. Well, today, it happened again at exactly the same site, but this time I had my camera so I can prove I am not just telling fish stories!:D

Unfortunately, not all went so well today. We started the day with Johnnyseko, ThatsSomeBadHatHarry and myself, but John slipped on the rocks on the hike down and dislocated his finger. :(

There was a lot to see on that dive.

I'm really sorry about this, John, but I'm going to have to put some pictures up.;)

im having trouble getting them to a good size, so these are kind of small.

Well, at least john made out better than that sea robin in your picture....

OMG...you guys are killing me!!! I knew it would be a great dive! Next time I'll try to remember not to run to the ocean with so much enthusiasm.:14:

I consider myself lucky...when I looked down and saw it bent back like the letter V, I thought it had come right off.

Careful on them rocks kids......

You ain't kidding.... casualty list for the last three times I have been to the aptly named Hazard Ave:

1. I was stung in the face by a Lion's Mane jellyfish.
2. My buddies and I were taken for a ride by a rogue wave and were thrown up on the rocks.
3. John dislocated his most important finger.

Anyway, glad it wasn't broken!

that would have been pretty amazing if your finger had fallen off from a fall. can't say that happens often, except to lepers.

on the upside, Chris and I can officially say that we entered at hazard ave twice in one day. that has to be some kind of record

Yikes...we have those up here?? Nobody told me THAT.

Anyone want to buy some dive gear? I think I'll take up golfing.

Edit to add... Awesome pics!!!

That looks like the same lionfish we saw last year but a little bigger. It must have grown some. Did it migrate or survive the winter?

Looks like we have tropical galore this year.
