There are four photos of lemons on the Jupiter 24December link.
Look real hard.LOL

DiverTom, The presence of the sharks seems early. I thought these were usually there in numbers in February. What was the water condition, temp and vis. What boat did you dive from? I'm thinking of going out Friday 12/26 or Sat. 12/27. Thanks

I use the Jupiter Diver Center, they will do the lemon shark dive everyday
as that is one of the dives that attracks people to Jupiter. The number of
sharks should continue to get better through February or so they say.
Someone on the dive reported seeing a sawfish on the dive also. I would
like getting a photo of one. Anyways the reefs are good around there to
so expect one on the reef and one on the sharks.

Tom,

About how far away from the Lemon's were you when you took the photo? Is it NOT a good idea to use a stobe when shooting them?

Good question about the stobe. I have an Oly5050 with a wide angle lens
and an Ike120 stobe. I have had it in the water twice so I'am still
learning. I was using the wide angle which I probably don't need on that
dive and the stobe I will not use next time. Going to take some time to
learn this camera. I was about 20 feet from the sharks. Next time it
may be better to go during the week when there are fewer divers and
without the lens and stobe and let them get closer.

Do you go on this dive weekly? Havent heard you talk about any other dive, not that it is a bad one, but i like variety if i can get it.

I have over one hundred dives this year. I have dove in the Keys from
Cudoe Key where I did the Adolphus Bush wreck to Jupiter. I live in
Cape Canaveral so Jupiter is a shorter drive for me. I did the Govenor's
River Walk on Friday. The lemon sharks come in this time of year so
I take advantage of it. I like going to the Keys in the spring, thats when
tarpon hang out on the wrecks. I also like Biscayne National Park's wall
dive they do on Sundays. It will be nice when they sink that carrier off
of Pensacola. That will make for another site to get to.
