My passport expired, turn around time for a new passport 7 days door to door. Great Job.....

Did you use First Class Mail or expedite it somehow...??

Ah. I read the title and was instantly drawn in to read about whatever tremendous accomplishment had taken place in the form of a government action. I suppose we should celebrate even the smallest of government victories... after all, they come so few and far between.

I recently renewed my sons' passports. Expedited 1 week, non-expedited 2 weeks.

Don, First Class Mail, also got the new Passport card......

Good news for you.
I used to be able to travel nearby with a U.S. voters I.D., but since 911, that is no longer the case.
I need to get a U.S. passport.
Does anyone know what is the "from scratch" timeline is these days, and also what is the cost?

Chug
Thanks Osama you putz, no Turks & Caicos, Bahamas, or Cayman trips without one anymore.

Everyone needs one anyway to get back into the U.S. from anywhere, unless you get one of those Nexus cards.

I got mine in under a week in 2012. I paid through the nose for "expedite" fees, but they got it done quickly.
