ok we have had donations, and the total $150 so far. i will notify Frank and randy so they can tell Bonnie. Thanks everyone!

My pleasure, now I do not feel quite so helpless and I know it makes everyone else feel better if we can do something.

Debraw, I sent a message to Paypal this morning with a link to this thread to see if there was any way they would be willing to waive the fees. I haven't heard back but I'm hoping they will be willing to help. Maybe we can just tie this to your account? In any event, I'll post as soon as I hear back from them.

Its really no problem for me to cover the fees, they are only like 3% on the amount given. I appreciate the thought though. :D

Donations are at $225! Good job everyone!!:admingreet::cheerleader::wave:

I heard from Alan's wife Bonnie today. He's better and they may take the chest tube out and move him out of ICU tomorrow and into a regular room by Friday.
He will most likely be there in the hospital for 10 more days. Yes, I said 10 days. :shakehead:
When they do release him he will not be able to fly back because of the collapsed lung injury so they will travel by car.
Bonnie says he's "real" sore. He still has short term memory problems and does not remember things he thinks he should and that ticks him off.
"But that's just Alan", Bonnie says. :D

Joseph is doing better too and they expect to release him days before Alan.

So there you go ............

I just heard back and got off the phone with Paypal. If you set up a not-for-profit account and include the basic information for the purpose, they will waive all fees. They will prob just need to confirm where the money is going (already sent them a link to this thread) and it should be all set. Just in case you get a lot of response so you don't get caught with all the fees.

Frank, many thanks for keeping us posted and updated here!!
