Louis and I just finished basic cave class. Went up to Mayo and stayed at the Dive Outpost while we took the class. Our instructor, Paul Heinerth was awesome as usual. We went with him for our cavern class back in June.

I posted about our 2 day adventure here http://72.187.67.128/scubaforum/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=40

On the way home we stopped at Ginnie and did the ear as out first real cave dive.

Congrats! Now you can go see the rock and the turtle in the dark!:D

Congratulations Dave!

Thanks guys.

At this time if you can't get to the links, it's because the power went out at my house (where the server is) and the battery backups are only designed for brief power cuts.

I'll update as soon as the powers back on.

Ok, powers back on and the server is back up.

Way to go Dave and Louis!!

How far inside the cave do you go??Congrats

Thanks and Good question. At the basic level I can go to the end of the gold line, although I doubt I'd ever have the air supply for that. I can't, however, go off on jumps, or circuits, or go in one hole and come out another.

The farthest I've been in a cave to date was in training at Peacock in the peanut tunnel. I went to 1,000 feet back.
