How many cavern dives had you completed before moving on to apprentice cave diver?

To be honest, I took the cavern diving course mostly as a litmus test to see if I even wanted to get into cave diving (before dumping more time and money in). It's not a required course, but I also had some configuration / early tech diving skills I needed to go through anyway that we covered at the same time. I did some more OW practice (and a sidemount course), but didn't technically do any cavern dives between cavern and apprentice. I did, however, pay for a day of guided dives soon before the apprentice course with my instructor so that we could do some non-training simple cave dives to make sure everything was ironed out well before the course.
