There are different styles of OPV on the exhale lungs on Meg, XCCR, Divesoft, JJCCR Optima. Since I dive with the JJ there is a valve with a pull cord, non adjustable. Cord gets stuck during splash, Very thick gloves, breaking cord, These issues might be an inconvenience if bailing out. (im aware of mitigation dumping through mouthpiece) Those of you who dive the other machines with adjustable OPV, Is there a significant advantage of having an adjustable OPV on your lung? Does it help during normal diving or is it just a bit easier during bail out ascent? Curious whether this is an issue at all really?

IMHO - that's nonsense that someone install non-adjustable OPV on rebreather.
I know man that got rapid uncontrollable ascent due to stuck pull-style OPV. And to deal with this ascent consequences (missed 30 minutes deco) he got IWR on O2.
