I bought my shearwater at the LDS. I walked in right I heard about the price hike and told them I would by it on the spot if they gave the old price. Walked out with it.

As one of my customers put it, “one throat to choke”. Is saving $60 on something that costs close to a thousand going to be worth it? I have a lot more leverage with my LDS than I do with an online retailer.

Be careful with PayPal too. I have heard of some getting burned and not getting satisfaction from them. It pays to be extra cautious. I have used them with tyransactions up to $4,000 but I quickly moved the money to my regular account.

I don't have money in a PayPal account or whatever you're talking about, I just have my credit card linked to it. Either way, if you get ripped off in any way they give you your money back, that's zero risk in my eyes.

I bought a drysuit hanger dryer off them and have had email correspondence back and forth about a wetsuit, they're definitely legit!
