I am flying to Europe on monday, have bunch of work to do, boss is freaking out "what will happen if the servers go down and we can't reach you" sigh...

ABQ- What time are you arriving? I really don't want to hang out alone for a couple of hours, the company sucks! :teeth:

I plan on being at Wendy's place at 7am or really close to that. It depends on if others are meeting there or will go out to the Ginnie on their own. I suspect we should be on the road by 7:30 and if I followed the conversation, should put us there by 9am.

That would only mean about an hour wait. You certainly don't have to do it unless you want and think it is necessary. Never have dived there I have no clue as to how crowed it might get.

Your call, let us know where we can find you. I will PM you my cell phone which will be on me.

...looks like a tentative go for me.

Only catch...I'm not sure just when I'll be able to get there. I'm scheduled to get off work at midnight on Fri., so that doesn't leave much sleep if I have to be up to be ready for the 2hr+ drive. I'll try to get off early, and I'll keep you all updated if I do, which means I'll try to arrive by 9 (at worst, maybe 10:30-11:30).

I'll be bringing my g/f, who hasn't been diving since her cert. in late Sept., so I'd like to spend some time with her at the main spring. She needs to get down to 60ft to make sure everything is ok for our Keys trip in 2 weeks. Got any dive plans lined up? Howz the river lookin'? Anyone goin' into the caves?

I'm going to bring my UW camera (Oly C-5050/PT-015) so we can take some pics . If you need some to recognize me, check out my profile pic, or http://www.aquaticoutpost.com/photos.htm. I'm in there with my neon yellow rental wetsuit .

ginnie is a cool dive. I would not go out of my way for it. It is a good dive for a novice, you need not have cave experience. Many OW certs are done there and they take the students into the cavern. I like to go into it at night, turn off my dive light and cut open a chem stick. It will turn into millions of tinny beads and swirl around giving the effect that you are in outer space while you are are inner space.

I live 7 miles from Vortex springs on I 10 Mile marker/exit 96. Anyone passing by and would like to dive Vortex Morrison or even take my boat up Mills pnad run of springs, give me a ccall. We may even be able to dive shell island or the Jetties at Panama City Beach at st Andrews park.

Dr Jay, get ahold of me if you would like to dive with my wife and I. I was certified in 74, did not renew my instructors this year.
If you guys are going to Ginnie check out Alexander, it is in a state park good get wet, $5 entry.

Troy is good as well, was free by boat not the parks have it , also Royal.

I'm still cleaning all of the sand from my gear acquired from the trip to Alexander.

I've been meaning to check out some of those North FL springs. I think I'll be more motivated once Matt and I get our cavern certs.

Understand, it would have been fun to meet you all and get a dive or two. Maybe next time, and THERE WILL be a next time. Since we come to Florida a couple of times a year.

Pretty much sucks. The good news is all the good things going on at work, though.

Certainly if this goes well (as I'm sure it will), y'all will be wanting to do this again real soon... Maybe even a couple of times over the summer.

And you can certainly count me in for those.
