I guess this qualifies as dive physiology....
So I've been diving my butt off lately; at least for me. I've done 24 dives in about 30 days. In that same time I've developed a persistent pool of blood on the inside of each foot. I went to my GP today for a couple of other things and asked him about this. He wasn't concerned about it and said that it was probably from shoes I've been wearing and to consider getting new shoes.
Since the shoes I wear daily are the same I've worn for many months, the culprit I point to is probably my boots or fins. Does anyone else get things like this? If so, does it become a problem eventually? I have no pain at the moment, just a gross feeling softness there.
If this can become a future problem, is there anything anyone else has done to change the arrangement or pressure of equipment?
Attached is a photo from the inside of my left foot; the right looks nearly identical. The blood spot is probably just over 1" tall.
Thanks in advance.
