Lighten up Debby......I mean really :shakehead:

This one looks really happy, and it's already wearing it's shorty wetsuit and is ready to don dive gear and explore the Hydroatlantic!

Assuming that the intention was to provoke a serious discussion...

It is obvious that a spare air is not going to get you very far off the deck at 150 feet, especially if you have any intention of doing deep stops. You could get what you can from it and then get to 70 feet with a CESA, the whole time deploying your 50% bottle so you can start breathing it right away.

Of course, I don't recommend that as a dive plan.

In the end, I think that careful gas management and safe diving practices should be really stressed. It occurs to me that people need to be aware of the fact that they are going to run into trouble and should be ready for it. Unclipping a bottle and handing it off in an out of air emergency should be frowned upon; You are OUT OF ****ING AIR.

Anyways, here's some numbers from a 70' skills dive in **** tons of current:
wp 2640
ap 3000
psi used 1000
cft 170
acft 193.1818182
time 20
cft/psi 0.064393939
cft/min 3.21969697
depth 70
ATA 3.121212121
SAC 1.031553398
arate/min 30
dive plan depth 70
first stop 0
distance 70
total time 2.333333333
average dascent ata 2.060606061
sac @ avg 2.125625184

You need to take into account whether this is an average SAC while doing moderate work, at rest/deco or SAC under stress/panic as part of your gas planning.

That was doing un-planned valve drills at ~100'. I seem to recall this:

Tas and Worm diving in the sea
Lesley works us like little worker bees
Floating patiently, silently, stalking us.
HISSSSSS BUBBBLE BUBBLE BUBBLE WHAT THE F***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure some others will know what I mean.....

Ruh-roh, I got a warning from the mods.

Can you expand on why you feel this is a bad idea?

That's not a warning. I just thought you'd appreciate that pic, somewhat combining your recent pics and avatar together. :)
