Wah!!

It was a great dive weekend compared to many we've had. Not too hot to roast in your drysuit; Not too bright; Air temps in the upper 50's and 60's. What the heck do you want, the Caribbean?:D

you listen to me! I'm not crawling around in mud just to get a dive or two in! However, I'd do it if beer is involved! :crafty:

Actually, I worked all day Saturday from 1:30p to 11:30p with my park ranger suit on and it rained all day so I figured the viz would be crap and there would be nothing but mud at the quarry. Besides, I was a whooped pup on Sunday from working Saturday.

Glad you had a good time.

I'm probably the only one who was not having a good time that weekend. Many thanks to DiverBrian for his help with my class and to DiverPaula and her group for the delicious dinner and the moral support.

This was the third weekend mis-called weather forecasting for Ohio quarry diving this year. 70% chance of thunder and lightening storms? NAH!!!!! A little chilly and some drizzle on Saturday but that was about it.

Had a great weekend! And now reading this thread I see we need more GLWC flags. I never met Doppler! & I never met Mixdiver! hmmm.... wonder if we talked and didn't realize who one another was. Any chance one of you was the man shouting across the quarry, 'Are you ok? Is this practice for a class?" that I talked to?

Watched the docks being moved around. Used the new portions of the docks. Was given extra wood from the building stages of the docks for our fire. The improvements are really nice. Like 'em!

& Randy, not much mud to speak of. We even had a nice canopy protecting the picnic table and grill just in case.

And for anyone that doesn't already know.... Brett brought more meat! Cooked a couple Dutch oven delicacies - a chicken and rice casserole and a delicious fruit cobbler.

It was wonderful weekend. Hopefully lots more to come this year.

I belive that we were across from you on Sunday. We had the blue tarp set-up with food being cooked or served most of the time.

Yep, that was us... did you notice we were drolling while you cooked! Sorry I did not say hello. Next time.

that everyone had a good time. I really wanted to get up there Sunday but was too
worn out from working Saturday.

Glad you had a good time.

Hey Ber, sorry you didn't have such a fun time as the rest of them did.

Randy,

If you would have seen what happened with that class, you would understand. My hair was getting pulled out by Saturday night as well. A nice relaxing day of "regular diving" on Sunday with the Ford Sea Lancers took all of that away though!

You looked too busy to drool to me. But, I figured when I saw streamlined rigs of doubles with "SL" stickered on one of the sets of doubles that it was you. I was the guy with my own doubles on the picnic table and the black Andy's drysuit.

But, as you said, there will be other times. Please, let me know when you plan on coming down to Ohio to teach another blender's course. I'd really be happy to meet you then :) .

I didn't get to dive. I was one of the guys putting the new docks in the water. I can't wait till they are done. The new docks will make getting in and out a lot easier. I hope everyone enjoys them.
