David,
Let me solve your problem with the hood filling up with air.

Turn your hood around. The big opening goes on the front of your head.

You're welcome.

I had already trimmed the hood to be clear of the mask skirt, but it is close. Holes should work, but then I'll be a bubble head. And the soldering iron is warming up, thanks.

The hood seems to fit alright, but I alternate from exhailling through the reg and through my nose, this helps purge my mask of water (mustache leak). When I exhail through my nose, I think this is when the air gets into the hood (I don't know I can't see it). But it sounds like I'll be trying some hoes in the hood. :D

Kudos for being innovative but you don't want to have to dive that way. Is there an alternate exhaust T available for your regulator? That may help.

Heh. He said, "Hoes." Heh.

Funniness rating?

Hoes in the head??? Might hurt a bit. How about holes in the hood? Works well. Even us warm water wusses use a hood and have put holes in the hood, on top and over the ears. I put the hood on, marked my ears with chalk then used the hot nail over a candle (no propane torch). works fine.

With the hood on? Ouch, you Conch divers are tough.

LOL...guess I should of mentioned that I took the hood off when using the hot nail..
but yeah, for wusses, we are tough!
