That's worthington's not PST....
Thank you.
Yeah I looked it over and couldn’t find a manufacturer stamp to save my life. It’s stamped XS Scuba so I guess Worthington made it for XS.
I bought the PST 100 when the 3442’s first came out. It was marketed as a hybrid between a 3500 DIN valve tank and an LP tank. At 3442 it was under official HP status so a regular yoke valve could be used. The best of both worlds. I think I paid $249, special introductory price.

SP14157
It’s not listed on the letter.
I'm confused they wouldnt fill this tank or are you talking about a different tank that was under SP9791?

If it's the latter then I would educate your dive shop that there are no issues filling Worthington tanks that fall under SP14157.

SP14157 used by Worthington is valid until 2026-08-31 and was renewed on September 29, 2022. This is typically listed as Worthington X-Series, 3442psi. Sold by XS Scuba.

Print this out and give it to them:

No, it was a PST 100 they wouldn't fill and an XS/Worthington 120 they filled. He didn't know it was a Worthington...

Is Worthington still around?
Worthington as a company is still very much in business but from my understanding the plant in Canada that used to produce steel scuba cylinders and other industrial steel cylinders closed down in 2014. The good news is Worthington continues to renew SP14157 so far.

They just renewed their permit in September. All set through Sep 2026. Given that Worthington remains a profitable company, I expect they will continue to renew their permit every 4 years without issue.
