reading all this thread makes me realize how lucky I am. My husband and I got certified together and we are equally passionate about diving. It is OUR hobby, together, buddies, part of our marriage, something special we share. In fact, we have a dive trip as our anniversary present to each other and try to dive on our anniversary every year. this year is our 20th and we plan to spend some time underwater together.

I just hope that the original poster for this thread can find something to share with his spouse, diving or something else, but something that is just for you and your spouse, a bond - trust me, those kids can become a wall between you. Just my 2 cents.

Are definitely a KEEPER! :D

i remember it like it was yesterday she told me she would leave me if I went diving!
I still miss her from time to time.

On a serious note try flowers and a gift certificate for a day spa and make sure its only good for the day that theres room on the boat! that way she wont even know youre gone. I get mine a 100.00 gift certificate for wal-mart shes usually there for 3 hours trying to make up her mind.

Send her to the Festival Flea Market in Pompano (maybe 1/2 hour from WPB). It's like a huge "Super Wal-Mart", only with stranger, more diverse selections and little dividers between the booths. It's about 80% women's stuff (clothes, shoes, etc., and about 20% stuff the kids will like)

You'll get at least 6 hours, and as a bonus, when she comes back, she'll be as tired as you.

It's worked for me for the last 6 years.

Let's see, you want 4 hours to do something you really enjoy, but she doesn't respect your need to dive? Who is being selfish? Time to divide the assets.

Go to the http://www.westpalmbeach.com website and see what you can find to do. I'd think sitting by the pool, with a cold drink in hand, kid in playpen, would be an okay four hours, but then my wife says, "Go diving" any time I want. Good Luck.
