I would like to know if anybody knows of a reputable and reliable dive shop/service that will service Scubapro regulators (MK/20-G250HP and a R380 Octopus). I of course would prefer a dive shop that is factory authorized and has considerable knowledge with these regulators. I live in the NY – Long Island area. I would send the regs through my LDS but I have had some experience with them lately and my good buying habits has given me the impression that they are taking me for a ride lately in return for the service that I have gotten.

I would prefer a shop that is near here, but I am willing to mail my regulators to a reputable dive shop in the U.S.

These regulators are about one year old and have about 50 dives on them. They have been well taken care of. Does anybody have experience with how much it should cost (approximately? service and parts?) to have the annual service for these regulators? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have some friends that live in VERY remote areas no where near a diveshop. They merely send their regs, (not S.P.), back to the factory for expert service and they have been extremely satisfied. JMO

If you can not find a good shop locally, I know of a good shop here in Raleigh, NC. They are an independent reg/BC shop that works out of a LDS and do most of the work for the other LDS's around here. I know the tech personally, he has been doing regs for a long time. He is SP authorized I am pretty sure as the shop he works out of is a big SP dealer. Drop me a PM and I will get you the phone numbers and email address so you can contact them.

Since all of your replies are farther away than NY you can send them to National Aquatics in Syracuse. They service for many shops and if you have a warrenty card for Scuba Pro they will honor it.

the phone number is 1-800-seadive fax 315-479-5766

good luck
