I dive a Whites Fusion and thinking of smarter way t o dry it.

I have seen the posts here about making a PVC pipe drying frame fed by fan. (which is an option)

However being pushed in dive magazines currently is the Hangair DS.

(anybody use one with a Fusion ?)

I have a tech question on the Hangair DS.
Anybody know what type of electric motor is fitted to power the fan ?
Many small motors are 'DC brushed type' .... and as this includes a low voltage supply ... this may be the case.

The reason I need to know, is that it is vital that Latex seals are kept away from brushed motors ... the commutator by way of working gives off small quantities of Ozone ... while not dangerous to health, this would very rapidly degrade Latex seals.

I use one on my Fusion. I cannot comment on if it is a brushless motor or not, it appears to be a pretty standard 4 inch computer fan tho.

I just hang my suit upside down with a boot-style hanger and use dampire in the boots. dries it in a few hours.

There are no boots on a Fusion suit, the built in 'socks' won't work with a boot hanger.

My wife got a Hangair for free when she bought her 8mm Pinnacle. It says it's a 12v DC motor, so I'm guessing induction is out. However, it also says the fan is "waterproof". So maybe it's not putting-off any emissions? On the other hand, how does it get rid of the heat it generates? Since we live in the middle of the desert with no nearby dive sites, we've never actually used it. The thing is just to big and bulky to be packing in a suitcase for travel.

If there's anything else you want looked at, let me know. I'm no motor specialist, so dumb-it-down for me.
