camping there this weekend....anyone ever dive there? day or night?

I snorkeled there. You better off going to stonington after 5 pm or before 8 or 9am. The river drains near were diving is allowed at Hamonasset causing some of the worst Vis in all of New England. If you do dive there please post a dive report. I'm eager to know how it is for diving. You will be diving at Meigs Point were diving is only allowed on the east of the breakwater.

There is also a nasty current off the tip of the breakwater that I wouldn't mess with; I mean it rips and I think the marine chart even shows the rip.

I don't know if diving is still allowed at the Waterford boat launch since we can't dive off boat launches anymore. You'll have to find an alternate entry and exit there.

Best of Luck.
