Someone on an ECCR can chose whatever set point they want at any point in the dive so they can always come out at the same time as any OC or SCR diver (cos they can mirror their gas at all times). Generally as we can run higher PO2 during ascent we get out much faster
Its mainly that most CCR divers are older and wiser than the followers of GI3 who have a VERY high bends incidence.
We to can take air breaks on the CCR without coming off the loop as well. And the RB makes it very easy to stay on a rich mix once your out of the water
