Well,
If you all waited until Sunday, I might have joined you.

Just got back from NC last night, and I can't do a thing with my hair... lol

Was wondering where the heck you have been. :14:

Headed out now. :jump:

Darn, I got to go pickup the wife in Tampa today. She would not have liked it if I hadn't shown up! I have not done Blue Springs yet. Next time.

I wish i could've made it out there yesterday, but i had to finish my nitrox and aow up at Hudson Grotto...which was the second time i was there during the week. Anyway i did 3 dives yesterday and then today i did two boat dives. We dove the Sheridan, and then did Veteran's Reef. The water was a nice and cool 64 degrees at the bottom. I tried out steel tanks for the first time and actually went with 108s. I felt very comfortable in the water with them, i thought switching to steel would be difficult....and it was actually alot more comfortable then with the aluminum 80s i've been using. So we had huge tanks of enriched air but struggled to endure more then 40 minutes at a time of diving in the cold. Other then temperature they were both great dives with great visibility. And at the end of the day i enrolled in a cavern class....maybe i'm rushing it....but anyway i would like to hear the breakdown of the dives you guys did this weekend so i can make a note of the good spots i need to go to.....

Gregg

I went out to the Treasure Island reef area today. Nice calm dive with decent vis - water temp at 32 feet was 69, vis was 30-40 feet. Not many fish to speak of (mostly snappers and sheepshead), but the tunicates (sea squirts), stony corals, and sponges were colorful and cool to see. I hope to get out again this week.

Get your cavern cert and the springs are endless....get basic cave and it only gets better.

Ginnie, Blue Springs, Manatee, Peacock, Madison Blue. The list is endless. Plus you have the Gulf coast and east coast for salt water.

Interested in Ginnie next Satuday?

You were out at the Sheridan? I think I am going to cry. I love, love, love, that spot. How much viz do you think you had out there? So it was 64 down at about 70ft?

I was happy to get out yesterday. I desperately needed to get wet. I almost didn't do the second dive but am glad I did. There were less people crowding up the place and I got to goof around some. Diving was followed by lunch with good people; Mark, Eric, Matt, Dave, Johnny and Louis. Definitely a good day. Even GulfCoastDiver came out with his wife, who dives, and her daughter who also dives.

Gregg, I am not a huge fan of the springs, as most everyone knows. I just don't see the allure. I'd rather be seeing the fish/animals out in the big water and taking pics. That said, I always enjoy going out with the people from around here, no matter where it is. :)

AMEN to that.

I think i might be able to do Ginnie next Saturday.....I'll have to get back to you later in the week, but that would be great. I haven't been up there yet.
