If you happen to google great white sightings.... You'll find this site... http://www.sharkresearchcommittee.com/pacific_coast_shark_news.htm

Most of the reports are from surfers, so I would assume they know what they are looking at, but you never know.... Still, it's very very recent, and you will recognize a lot of familiar sites.... :) Always a fun read, to get the blood flowing

Our own PhotoTJ spotted one underwater at Big Rock last year or the year before....

Yes, a white shark around 13 feet long was seen by the lifeguards at Leo on Sat. the 18th. The only thing I know is they saw it and called everyone out of the water.

13ft thats a big one!

Thats like a Honda Civic swimming around!

They've been seen there before. I haven't dived mainland soCal since 1969 so I've never seen one there.

Have you seen one diving Bill?

If so how big?

Never mind, they don't really exist, kinda like the tooth fairy or the easter bunny :dazzler1:

You don't dive off the beach anyway, and there's only a couple Catalina reports...

It's been a couple years, now. (Sept., '03) I wonder if it could be the same one? I figured mine at about 10', three feet in 2 years? Hmmm...
