Question APOLLO AV-1 DPV Rebuild, Looking for Help

I did some general maintenance cleaning out the propellors, O-Rings, removing some old grease, and replacing the battery.

I've got my AV-1 / SV900 into a state where I can hear what sounds like the motor starting, but no dice on the propellors starting.

It sounds like a clicking noise. Maybe the starter?
Also how is the trigger supposed to work? It always makes this noise.

Anyone have any advice for me?

I haven't encountered this problem, but the AV1's mechanical and electronic components are relatively simple. The relay is a TAKAMISAWA VF12HU (12V 30A 4-pin), commonly used in air conditioners or refrigerators. It costs about $4-8 here. I'm not sure if it's available on AliExpress. You can first use a multimeter to check the resistance of the front cover switch. This is detailed on pages 4-6 of the Repair Manual (Front Cover). If the switch works, the problem is likely with the motor or relay. Your description seems to be related to page 4 of the Repair Manual (Motor Bulkhead). Repairing the motor or relay requires removing the engine compartment bulkhead.

It is the relay, a small black box that is on the inside of the bulkhead. About 1 inch cube. It is difficult to find replacements.

Also, if you are possibly thinking the problem is in the trigger, then you can test by omitting the trigger switch on the top.

Just take the top off and short out the two silver terminals with a screw driver, this should close the circuit and cause the same noise/problem.
Yes, you can use the elimination method to test step by step. After checking the switch, you can plug in the battery and check the motor (use metal to connect the two round metal posts next to the battery to see if the motor can start and whether it still makes a clicking sound).
 
I shorted the two metal posts. I got rotation on the cylinder.
It looks like I have two problems:
A) Bad trigger circuit and switch (I see there is a short in however this switch was installed. Looks like it was repaired at some point, not OEM, I'll take some pics)
B) Bad battery connection / switch.

The input voltage when the relay goes off goes from 12.5 volts (V_BAT) all the way to 0.03V. So I think my connectors / the corrosion on them are failing, so when it vibrates the connector comes off, instead of the load being continuously delivered. Ill redo some stuff and see if that fixes it.
