Question Apollo AV-1 DSV as a learning scooter?

The Gavin can still be a great unit despite its age, but the Apollo with a few modifications can also still be quite useful.

So I ended up purchasing a scooter. Not the Apollo: a Gavin Short Tube.

Thank you all for your advice. It's not *nearly* as beautiful as the DPV's in @bogmar79 's post above... But hopefully it will do the job.

I've started a separate thread asking for some advice on how to set up the Gavin (especially weighing), as well as maintenance items I need to be aware of. If you have any Gavin experience I could really use your help! Question - I just bought a Gavin DPV. Now what?

And if you're in the Detroit, Michigan area and you're looking for a buddy to do some DPV practice, get in touch. Now that I have a DPV, I need to learn how to drive it! :)
