Are you partial pressure or CBing?

for PP, the cost of the 6000psi reg will probably be worthwhile. for CBing it doesn't matter too much since you can suck the supply down to nothin'

Currently PP'ing. But I'm more concerned about the grades and if the #1 option is ok.

Cheers

Many shops use USP which is 3 nines, the industial I use is 4 nines and I double checked that volatile hydrocarbons are <0.5ppm.

I would say your 5 nines UHP is a pretty safe bet, probably better grade than you really need. The only thing you might remotely want to ask the lab about is volatile hydrocarbons. You want those at sub-ppm levels. UHP is about the highest grade I've ever heard anyone using.

I give Helium a grade of 'A'!!! :eyebrow:

Interesting thing I just found out, my LDS owner told me on the drive to the pool the other night, that there are no different grades available to him. Just one type of helium, so I just pulled out my Praxair Canada catalog, and sure enough they only show one type of helium, 99.995% minimum purity. How would this compare to the various grades you guys get in the U.S.?

That's exactly what I'm trying to find out...

Thanks Jimmer
