It's a long time since i took fundamentals (a workshop not a class back then) but the impression i recall is that as long as you can perform required manuevers, the fins pass muster. Split fins didnt cut it.
I have found Go Sports let me do pretty much everything I can do with Jets so I would say they are ok. But as i said, it's been a long time.
