I haven't been to Gilboa this year due to spending the summer in Florida. What is Mike charging these days? Any improvement to the parking situation?

Hey Polllly!

Does that mean you are joining in on the fun? :D

I have a couple questions!

I am new to diving with a big 25 dives under my belt now. Could someone please tell me where Gilboa is and is it a lake, quarry ect? I live in Traverse City Mi

Also since my wife don't dive are there others there that don't dive too so shes not just sitting around?

Thanks for the info
Tony

That's the plan. Gonna be at Blue Springs this weekend. Tried to talk Joe into heading there but he's going to Tobemory (can't blame him for that one), think he is diving around here the next weekend, but I am going to be back in Florida, and he is going to be gone to Kansas before the Meet n' greet. (I'm finaly going to make it to one of these!)

Tony,

Should be plenty of people there to keep your wife company. Gilboa is a quarry in Ohio and you have plenty of dives to attend the Meet & Greet. I would suggest that you try and attend on Saturday as we have a big carry in meal. Diving is pretty fun as you will have a big selection of dive buddies.

See you in September.

Hi Tony,

Mitten gave some great information. For details on the quarry itself go to their website.... http://www.divegilboa.com/ There isn't a whole lot for non-divers to do there unless they are into climbing / rapelling (sp?). But there will be people out of the water at all times. & tons of fun conversations.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Paula

Very nice! Been too long since we met at Whitestar earlier this year. But I'm sure you've enjoyed diving in all the nice warm locales you've been in since. :D

Just one warm locale- the keys, but was there a while so I guess that counts. Heading back to FL next weekend, but squeezing in a dive in the dry suit this weekend.

Been longer than that. Or my idea of warm water is different than yours! Last I saw you, you were headed off to the West coast to help a friend crew a boat down the coast.

Yeah I did the Pac coast (Tacoma- Channel Islands then San D.) trip in May, but that wasn't warm, wore my dry suit, temp was around 50, the dives were awesome though, I highly recomend diving washington state to anyone who can stand the cold. I posted some pics on here, but I didn't take my u/w camera with me so only topside shots.
Then was in the Keys may 23-Aug 22, now that was warm, didn't even take a wet suit with me. Met up with Joe, Penny, and Blase (Firebrand) for the first weekend for the Spiegle, then dove with the Seacamp kiddies for the next 3 months.
