does anyone have a record of temps for the past couple of weeks at gilboa. I'm wondering if my2 mil shortie will be enough for heading tothe tubes? just kidding, I hate to wear a 7 mil in the summer!

thanks

I didn't get that deep, but last weekend I registered 77 at the surface, I believe about 66 at 35 ft. Don't have the info infront of me, so this is by memory. If I recall, the divers we met up with said it was 55 or 58 at the tubes, depending on who's computer youwanted to go by..

I wouldn't trust the temp a computer shows after even a minute or two at the tubes. They need a few minutes to adjust to the temps, I always look at the thermometer anchored there, I'll bet that didn't say anything over 45.

Trust me, if you want to go to the tubes this weekend, use the 7 mil. I'm going to!

I double dog dare you :D I've been to the tubes in late August in my 1/4" with no gloves :eyebrow: You would not believe how warm 60 degree water feels after that ;)

I was down there last weekend. My advise is to leave your brass monkey at the surface.:D
