If forced to choose between the Sol and the Lynx I'd go for the Petrel.

The Sol has the Trimix upgrade available, and will track ten tanks. I don't know what "old" has to do with it, when the firmware is updated.
The Petrel and Predator are both wonderful, especially for caves.

For technical diving it's hard to find a better solution than the Shearwater.

While I agree there's no better computer than a Petrel, I'm wondering: why the necro? This thread started April 2012 and is asking about a Predator 
Walking Dead New Season started a couple weeks ago. And Easter is coming. I'm guessing a resurrection theme.
