I replied above but have a question for you. Why would you choose the Luna or Sol? The data download is obsolete IRDA technology. Have you looked at the Shearwater Teric or Perdix AI? They will do what you want and their technology is far more advanced and the retail cost is about the same. The Shearwater support is far better than ScubaPro.

We were just looking at those two because the luna was part of a package we were looking at. Then my husband found a deal on a SOL. We were curious if we purchased both, if we would still be able to read our buddies air.
 
And the short answer is yes. They are essentially the same computer. The Luna comes with all the features offered on the Sol except for the Predictive Multi-Gas feature and the Heart Rate Monitor. However, these upgrades are available as optional purchases. Also, the interface cable is an additional cost for both if you want to download your dives. Your "deal" may or may not come with the cable.
