No matter what, avoid the frameless HUD special mask, it’s not comfortable and the HUD isn’t properly aligned in it

Hummm, the regular frameless is my absolute favorite mask and I got the one that is compabitlbe with the HUD. I am going to try it to check on this.

Ok maybe comfort is subjective, but don’t you find the HUD either sits too far or too close on it since it’s not tilted towards the eye a bit?
The screen body is visible in that too far position, but the lens is not showing me the screen content I mean (idk how to describe that well.. but I’m sure you get me; I’ll try to make pictures tomorrow)

I gotta try a Dmask as well, just need to find a place to try the sizes

I haven't used the Frameless HUD mask yet. I have been using the Dmask and keeping the Frameless as a spare. Prior to getting the HUD, I have been using the SP Frameless since the early 2000s. I have one that I have had for about 20 years without issues. I have two as spares but never needed them until I accidentally broke the oldie when it was thrown on a sharp, pointy rock at the beach.

I don't get you. I can't visualize what you are trying to describe. Send pics.

The framless itself is ok, just not the most comfortable (to my face)

Forgive the grit and dirt on the mask; it sits in my butt pouch and all sort of crap accumulated there; time for a good wash

So.. it’s also not as easy to capture on camera since it’s a pov thing but I’ll try my best approximates

What I get at the far position:

The only solution is to bring the HUD up close in the real near position, in the center

Issue 2
Max tilt in position, not as big as an annoyance as the above, but the frameless has too much „head space“ above the eye line, so this position:

Leads to this:

So instead I have to raise the HUD to this position, given a continuous joint it’s easy to maneuver without disassembly; but it does slide back every now and then

IDK, maybe I’m being too iffy — but it does feel a bit janky 🤷🏽‍♀️

I'll try to find the "spare" Frameless HUD mask, play with it, and see what I get. It will take me a while to do this as I have too many issues to deal with this glorious beginning of the day today :)

deal with this glorious beginning of the day today
Hope it gets easy 🤲🏽✌🏽

I tried the D-mask again today and it fits better than I remembered. I will be purchasing one shortly from my LDS and sending it off for the prescription.
Do you have a complicated script? You can buy different lenses for the D

Why not use the lenses from Scubapro made specifically for this mask? Is your prescription that difficult?
