it's still not something I would consider an ongoing threat - or something that will repeat itself.

Maybe maybe not, but the fact that they said "next is your house" or something along those lines, the threat has already been made.

This does not really affect me anyways as I have no reason to go over there for any reason, but I have alot of friends and family that do like it over there. More power to em, leaves my favorite place on earth to me...

Keep the politics out of this thread

Yes, one should question the source for any information. However, one has to do more in an honest discussion than to question the sources of others, one has to provide better sources. So what is a reliable source of information?

The local rumor is that this was a message from the "Investors" to Borge - although it may or may not be narco terrorist related, it's still not something I would consider an ongoing threat - or something that will repeat itself. Very difficult to articulate. Although troubling, it's not something I am afraid of becoming a frequent occurrence.

Which investors? Investors in Barco Caribe or investors in Ultramar and Waterjets? I'm not sure why this is not an ongoing threat. A rift has to run pretty deep to come to this kind of action and such rifts are seldom resolved with one act.

Brietbart bills itself "as the platform for the alt-right" (Mother Jones, 8/16). Do you really want to have a conversation about the objectivity of the "news" promoted by Brietbart?

Keep the politics out of this thread
For my illumination, which posts were political?

The only place SB allows political discussions (American, Canadian, Mexican, whatever) is in the Pub. The reason is that political discussions nearly always end badly...or at least in violation of SB TOS. So pretty much anything talking about political parties, elections etc. gets zapped. If you'll recall, the topic of the thread was the explosion and what was the cause. The motivation for the explosion would be off-topic even if it wasn't about politics. I'm in this thread, so I have recused myself from moderating it. But that is the background, folks.
