RJP, you were right on target w/ your suggestion. I went by radio shack and the manager there even wired it up to a cord for me for no charge. The one I got did not even need a special AC/DC adaptor. Thanks!
 
I went to radio shack as well to look at their fans. I liked the 115V units they have but the wires from the fan looked real small. Can I just solder them into a regular AC power cord?
 
The Radio Shack Manager at my store used a plastic clamp to hook the thin wires from the fan to an AC cable. I think the fan is usually used within a computer, so is not normally attached directly to an AC power cord. Soldering would probably work as well as the clamping device they used. Ask them there for their advice.
