Suggestion Don't like this....

I'll be the first to say it, I don't like this new and "improved" SCUBABoard. The location of posts doesn't make sense, if anything, the layout is worse than it was, and even more difficult now to figure out where to post topics. I personally would love to meet some of the folks that complained about not being able to find anything under the old board.

can we get a new list of what numbers are assigned to the different forums? i need to upgrade my exclude list...

The Nikon forum was pretty small so we merged it back into the main u/w forum. People had complained that the u/w forum was simply overloaded with subforums requiring them to scroll a page or two just to see the threads in that forum.

I guess once one learns where things are it will eventually be as easy as the old format, just suprised me when my favorite forums weren't in same place as before. Definitely agree travel/dive club section is too cumbersome, why not have seperate travel and club section more or less like before?

One other point, while DIR is definitely associated with tech diving its not exclusive to tech. Anyone else have an opinion on where DIR forum should reside?

Is it possible to have a hierarchal format, similar to the Tech section, where you list regions and then once a region is opened there is another list of general regional discussion and the clubs associated with that region?

We wanted to differentiate between what is "normal" diving and "abnormal" diving. But we KNEW that no one wanted to be labled as "abnormal" so we stuck with "Tech"! If there is a better name for all of the diving variants/disciplines/specialties we will be glad to use it!!!

We're still working n this but here's the problem... let's say you want to travel to Hawaii, we don't have a Hawaii Travel or US Region Forum because the club is meant to handle all the posts about that region. Thus when we have the clubs separate it is hard for someone who is not living in that area to know they should be posting to it. At the same time, by merging them we have a huge list of forums and it can be a bit daunting. Like I said, we're still trying to figure out whats optimal for the travel & club areas, suggestions are always welcome.
