Has anyone tried making an undergarment from Thinsulate? I see that commercial manufacturers use a layer of thinsulate and polar fleece in their ultra cold water garments and was thinking of asking a family member try and make a similar one for me. Any suggestions on a pattern to use would be great too. Thanks.

This is a good question. My work partner and I were talking about how nice it would be to wear some of the long underwear that we use while out on the rivers checking oysterman under a wet suit. I know I had looked in to making just a chest pad from myself to get a little more warmth in the wintertime over my ballistic vest however the raw materials seamed a little to expensive to me.
