Pete, do you just keep these in your vest? You are quick, and, as ever, entertaining. I assume you got my Warren Zevon reference.

I had to look him up. No, I don't keep anything in my "vest". As @Moose, my best friend often points out: I'm not right in the head. I love puns and I've only met one person who's been able to keep up with me. Something hits me and I write. It's never that good, but I do try to make it fun.

And you do shine, my sensei

Someday, i shall Program all these “Dive Lyrics” into a big screen Kareoke machine, bring it to a Danvers, MA Sea Rovers Party and see how many sing-a-longs I can get going.

I just now got back from training and finished with the final verse . . .

I went diving with a waitress,
The way I always do.
How was I to know
She loved wreck dives, too?

I was gambling with my back gas,
I took a little risk.
Drop deco gas and quickly,
DAN, get me out of this! (Hiyah!)

I’m an innocent dive buddy,
Somehow I got stuck
Between a floor and an overhead
And I’m down on my luck.
And I’m down on my luck.
And I’m down on my luck.

Now I’m hanging stops on back gas,
I’m a desperate man.
Drop deco gas and quickly,
The **** has hit the fan
Drop deco gas and quickly
Drop deco gas and quickly
Drop deco gas and quickly (Hiyah!)

Knocking on Adel's door

Dr Adel manages the hyperbaric chamber in Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt)

"Adel's Door" shows true dedication to this sport. I can only say shukraan!

PS. Would anyone object to some Wombats? 1996, say?

Everyone knows how scarce helium has become, so, with apologies to the Wombats' 1996, here is Bring Back Diving on Trimix

I had no bends in the 2020s
I had no close calls
Other divers were bending, but not me
My stressors were internal.

She left me at the reef, she left me at the reef
Right in front of the Dee Emms.
But our team beliefs, our team beliefs
Weren’t sacrificed in the end.

‘Cause now it feels like . . .
We dive with one eye on our target depth
And the more I dive, the less I regret.
Needing drift wall dives just to spark a smile,
There’s so much here to miss.
Bring back diving on trimix

Bring back diving on trimix
So hard to beat that helium fix
Bring back diving on trimix

We were diving deep in the 2020s
We were using bathyscapes.
And nitrogen filled the whole of my body
But the narcosis didn’t show.

I lost her on the reef, I lost her on the reef,
Due to some backgas leaks.
But my solo dive, my solo dive,
Wasn’t improved by my expertise.

“Cause now it feels like . . .
We dive with one eye on our target depth
And the more I dive, the less I regret.
Needing drift wall dives just to spark a smile,
There’s so much here to miss.

Stop signing, you won’t stop signing,
I need a teammate, not a save tonight.
I’m leaving, I’m leaving,
I’m not cut out for this deco life.

I’ll never beat those freedive kids
I’ll never beat those freedive kids
I’ll never beat those freedive kids
Bring back diving on trimix

And here is the original impetus if you missed it . . .

Best practices always, but also have a sense of humor, for Poseidon's sake.
