Anyone have the software for the DiveRite Nitek Duo? A LDS just told me it wasn't expected to ship for 6 months to a year. Since I purchased the computer to log my dives, I'm a bit upset. They have offered me a full refund.

If they are mistaken, and the software is available, I'd like to know.

I have an Apeks Quantum (exactly the same computer) and have been told at the time i bought it that interface and S/W would be available in Sept. I will ping Apeks here in the UK and see where they are with that. But yes, you are right.........what good is a computer with a PC mode if there is no interface and S/W to work with? I too have been told that it is in the works (there were some final changes made)..........
Will let you know what I hear.....

There is no date for the software for the Duo. I personally spoke with the local Dive Rite representative today. It could be months.

I returned the item and got the Nitrek Plus. Basically, same computer, only smaller.

According to Dive Rite Express, which specializes in Dive Rite equipment:

"The Docking Stations and NiTek Logic software currently support only the NiTek Plus, NiTek He, NiTek 3, and NiTek model dive computers. Dive Rite Express has been told by Dive Rite that they are developing a docking station adapter and USB drivers to interface with other NiTek models. We do not have any delivery date from Dive Rite as to when support for the NiTek Duo dive computer will be forthcoming."

The software is on the apeks web site http://www.apeks.co.uk/downloads/PCLogBookE.zip
and the dive right website for sale at $150. I wonder if the apeks software will work with the dive right unit and just what is in the conecting cable to make it work?

Daryl Morse:
The software is free. You have to pay for the cable. Scubatoys has them. I got mine from my LDS.

thats great now if we can get someone to reverse enginer the cable $125 is quite high for a download cable.

I just saw a flyer from Dive Rite that seemed to indicate the download cable (interface looks like a giant clip) and software is now available.
Cost is another thing.
