Deep Dixie Diver Mega Trip to Key Largo WHEN Discussion Thread

Am I missing some math here... I got 43.75 per trip if we had a $50 trip for 7 people, plus the one free leader. Either way that sounds like an amazing deal. I hope everyone else is wanting to hit the wrecks as much as I am.

Well, when do we all plan to arrive in Key Largo? Turns out their night dives are only 1 dive. I'm sure we could work w/ them to get in 2 though. As far as the 43.75.. the trips are $55 unless we book 3 paying trips, which then they drop to $50 per trip. My match was as follows, $55 * 7 = 385 / 8 = $48.125 (I don't think anyone should get a free ride, regardless).

I was just going by the assumption that if we committed to three or more trips (at that price... heck ya... morning and afternoon, plus night) it would be 50 instead of 55. So even a slightly better deal. I agree with the all chipping in and all taking the discount.

Ocean Pointe is at mile marker 92.5. I don't care which dive shop we go with as long as someone has been with them and can vouch for their service. I have been with Ocean Divers and they have great service. If you can vouch for Cristal Clear then we can go with them. The Keys aren't that big. It doesn't really matter if we stay at the same condo or hotel. Ocean pointe is 239 plus tax which is 266 with tax for a 2br/2bth and we have already booked one with them. Ocean Divers makes you pay 200 up front and you run a tab on your group dives and pay it at the end of the dives so you don't have to pay for all group dives up front so you have some flexibility. I am fine with going with the other dive shop if they will guarantee us the free dive and let us pay a deposit and then pay for the dives when we get there. As far as you riding with us Frank, you are welcome to. We are leaving early Friday morning from my house, picking up Brandy and his daugher from Pensacola and driving straight to Key Largo that day. I live in Monroeville,AL, so you could drive to there and meet us. We will be driving back Monday, or you could see what Howard is doing and meet up with them. You are welcome either way.

OK Here is the real deal. My son, the soon to be Auburn grad, goes for a J-O-B interview (I had to spell it out for Dawg) tomorrow. I wish him luck. This is an intern job for the summer. I think he will know better tomorrow about when he can anticipate starting work. If he starts right after graduation (Mid May) and he can get a very long weekend off around Memorial Day, then we are in. If not, then the deal changes. I don't know if I go alone and risk myself with the lady pirates or go earlier with my son. So there it is, final answer in a couple of days. As far as the rooms go, I am for Ocean Point. Why, well if we stay as a group, we can change buddies easier than having to meet people at the shop.

ps Dawg - If it is any comfort, I am a Tech man. Didn't go there, but would have if my Uncle had not offered me something better.

The only reason you only talk about football season is because thats all you have over there. We have had every program in their respective top 25 in the past year. So remember May will still have me cheering on our baseball and softball teams... we actually play more than one sport over here.

As for the stink... How is it that ol' Glory song goes? 'Glory glory to ol' Georgia... the sesspool of the south!

Fine, make fun of our fight song if you must... however I must point out that at least our fans know the words. Over there on rockytop, yours don't seem to realize that there is no "WHOOOO!" in the song. And our band plays more than one song!!! :bigun2:

Hey now I work 35 hours a week during the school year, and as many over 40 as they will give me during the summer!

I believe we finished the season ranked higher in football (that happens when you dont lose to vandy and kentucky), we are #3 in womens bball, and about to be ranked in mens (did you catch that game). We swept your women at bball and have a chance to do that with our men. We also have the #1 softball team in the country, and were ranked in womens soccer, and baseball. We won two national championships in the past couple of years in track sports too. I would say we excel at many. Like I said, nationaly ranked in all sports in the last 12 months. Can UGA say that?

And, I believe if you want to bring band into this, you brought it up with the wrong person. First of all, rocky top is not a fight song. I bet you dont even know ours. I know yours, I had to play it last time you visited here. I also believe you have some dozen versions of the same song. That is lack of creativity. Tennessee plays a much wider variety of songs than any other school in the SEC, minus maybe LSU. You tell me who lacks creativity?

You guys have a fight song other than rocky top???! I'll bet most tennessee fans don't even know that! I better call Lee Corso!

You guys beat us this past year because we had a shaky QB situation (should be VERY familiar to you guys, ala 2005 and Ainge/Claussen/Fulmer love triangle), but then again, you could say the same thing about when we beat you in 2005.

Sorry I don't really follow any other college sports except football. Besides, i'm pretty sure those Florida *******s have all the SEC bragging rights right now. But I know our gym dogs are better than your gym team! :14:
