Maple syrup is really, really expensive here. That is one gift I sometimes give. Other times, home-made rhubarb jam (another thing you can't get here). Some sort of sun/wind/rain protection clothing?? I just bought sun hats for my husband and brother for fishing..has some kind of lycra thing at the back that you can put down to protect the back or your neck or pull it over your head to cover your entire neck and face. Got it at a fishing goods store close-out so half-price. Took up almost no room in suitcase and very light weight. Would be good for captains...

Hard to go wrong with a thank you card and some cash. Impersonal, but you know it will be put to use.

The year the Riders won the Grey Cup I brought official Rider ball caps for all. Seemed well received.
