I'll get 2 days of diving in with Tres Pelicanos! Thank Gawd. I was worried I wouldn't get underwater at all this trip.... Can't wait for Tues/Wed

Day 1 dive 1 with tres pelicanos... How an ya beat this! Could be the pic of the trip on the first day! TY DM Jorge for taking us to this site and finding this guy again who has been hanging out on this coral head for about a month or so. Palancar bricks @ about 50'.

Gold bullion would be appreciated and not take up much room! A gift is a gift, gift whatever you like. Don't forget Pony at the shop who keeps the operation running smoothly day in and day out and is the go to Mr. fix it should you have an equipment issue!

Yes, I agree that a gift is a gift and will likely be appreciated. That being said, maybe someone has some insight or experience to share. Besides, all of the gold bullion I have, even the small pieces, would put me over the 50 lbs limit.

As we usually dive with DM Jorge, we brought him a box of Quest protein bars in cookies and cream flavor which is supposedly his favorite flavor and he is a health nut for his iron man training. For Pony at the shop we brought a jar of our homemade blackberry jam (something that definatly can't be bought in Cozumel). Unless you know what someone likes or may like, I say gift something they can't get in coz. If I had a friend from Mexico visiting me in the states, I'd want something from Mexico I couldn't get in the states. A bag of real tortillas from coz would be awesome! That being said, as Cozumel has grown it's tough to think of things that can't be purchased in Cozumel these days. Send an email to Jeannie at the shop... she'll have ideas if anyone would.

Maple syrup is really, really expensive here. That is one gift I sometimes give. Other times, home-made rhubarb jam (another thing you can't get here). Some sort of sun/wind/rain protection clothing?? I just bought sun hats for my husband and brother for fishing..has some kind of lycra thing at the back that you can put down to protect the back or your neck or pull it over your head to cover your entire neck and face. Got it at a fishing goods store close-out so half-price. Took up almost no room in suitcase and very light weight. Would be good for captains...
