Hm........... just about the right time for the schooling Hammerheads to visit Cocos, another tropical destination I can never afford to go to...

See your face it ain't worse to wear, breathing that California air~~~

Cold_Under_Here:
Just feeding off another post about the misery of December.
How many of you lucky people with your snug drysuits and warm waters, will be diving through the chill and christmas pudding?
I'll be hanging the fins until the ice melts and the water temperature rises.

Dear Santa, I want a drysuit! (with a pee valve)

Happy diving:05:

I'm going to Egypt next week. ..... oh....sorry, eh. You probably didn't need to hear that... :D

Ahhh...Quit it!!!!
I will let ya all in on a secret....Diving in the PNW in December is a Great Time!!
Pile another layer on in the dry suit....and the vis is incredible....and it's really cool to surface when it's snowing....It really is the best diving, ever!!!
Ya wanna dive?
K

My wetsuit works just fine at 48 degrees and, as quaintly stated in the above quote, it's great diving here this time of year!

Sea ya!

Well, me & my drysuit (& drygloves... mmm....) will be logging some dives in December. I want to log my 200th this year. I have about 15 left to go.
I know divers that tough it out here in Canada (as your profile states) all year 'round in a wetsuit.
Really, if you're in BC, it would be foolish to hang up the fins from October till May. Cuz if you are, you're missing the good season. I know people that (quite rightly) don't dive May-September b/c there's no viz. This is the time to appreciate BC diving.

Mmmmm winter viz. :D

I do have my drysuit, I do have a chest cold, I do have to finish getting ready for winter and I do want to be part of a merry Christmas but I do hope to find some dive time.

If I can get 1 dive per month through March and do an ice dive class I'll be happy. If I can do more then great but critters and buddys are both getting scarcer. My big goal was to hit the water running in the spring.

Pete
