Can anyone tell me exactly what type of battery I need for the Dacor extreme access computer? I know the sending unit uses watch batteries, I have those, but even the dive shop I went today wasn't sure. The battery they tried did not slip into the housing easily and we were afraid it would get stuck. This is a newly aquired, so if anyone knows where I could get or d/l a manuel that would be great too. Thanks.

I have a manual at home and can run it through the scanner. However, I won't be home until November. Please PM me if you haven't got one until then.

BTW, what was the battery type? I remember having the same problem of getting a battery that was slightly too big.

:DCOOL! Thanks boarder06,

It take a 1/2AA 3.6V lithium battery, $8.99 from Batteries Plus
(thier part # lithls14250BA). But here's what I had to do, I got a micrometer out and measured, it only needed about .002" more room. So I removed the spring from the steel battery housing, got some 80 grit sandpaper, wrapped it around a small socket from my tool box and proceeded to hone out the inside of the steel sleeve. I stopped every few minutes to check size- -took about 10 minutes, put the spring back in and it worked like a charm!

I know these are supposed to be back lit, and when I insert the battery it light briefly as it self checks, but doesn't com back on after, is this normal?
