Anyone know if Cove 2 has improved?
Didn't look very good on Sunday ... went to 112 and vis wasn't any better there than at 20 feet ...

Well, that's okay -- It'll be good for midwater skills this afternoon!

Had 50'-70' vis at Porpoise Bay last weekend. That was fun.

Only one nice pic from last night's Redondo dive ...

Yay! None of mine turned out well. :shakehead That squid was so cooperative, too.

Bob, you have a talent with those beasties!

Viz at Cove 2 seemed like the usual 15 feet or so tonight, but the seals were the most pestiferous and persistent that I've ever seen.

Awesome picture Bob!

RE: Cove2 - Visibility might be low, but you can always bring your binoculars and enjoy the nesting pair of bald eagles while you're there. If their clutch is successful they should hatch mid March to early April. I'd be looking for branchers (young hopping around the tree but not yet taking flight) around mid May. Won't see them much after that.

Vis was ok at lobster shop today, worse down at 150', did not see much, fun scooter dive though.

Love the X.

Viz this morning at Redondo was pretty good -- 15 to 20 feet, lots of ambient light. By 2 p.m. it had deteriorated somewhat, but the tide was pretty low. What were kind of stinky, though, were the surf and swells, which made getting in and out a little tricky, especially in doubles.

Vis at 150 didn't matter ... there's not much to look at down there anyway.

We ran out of wall at about 115 ... after that it was just silty, sloping bottom.

Can't figure out why people insist on doing those 200' bounce dives ... the best part of the dive site is between 80 and 115 feet ...
