Cruise Control for Blacktip

Has anyone setup cruise control on a Blacktip?

There is a YouTube video showing how to do it -- has anyone tried it?

They've been shipping the new ones since the 7th and cruise control is an Easter egg within the program.

I watched the video and it made me think I could do this to my two month old Blacktip using the VESC tool.

What am I missing here?

I guess when all else fails I will ask the manufacturer.

Maybe he could upgrade the firmware via the cable and then unlock the features included in it.

I’m sure you’ve seen it before, but there is an open-source version of the firmware (based off the exact same code base) that has cruise control as an option. It’s been out for several years now (I think?) and I haven’t heard of any issues. It’s trivial to switch back and forth between the different firmware versions in VESC Tool.
