Same here! our dive crew mentioned during the briefing that in May, the currents can be really strong and unpredictable, sometimes even switching directions. Every morning they chose the dive sites based on the current conditions, most days we ended up diving at Palancar, navigating through the coral formations to stay protected from the current. One day we wanted to dive at Santa Rosa Wall, but the crew actually jumped in first to check the conditions. Unfortunately, they decided it wasnāt safe, so we had to skip it.Wrapped up 5 days of diving today

Currents were ripping, and going the opposite direction... We dove yucab and the sand looked like tornadoes or dust storms, we were flying through there, it was actually kinda fun![]()
Still, we had some really great dives despite the tricky currents! we were lucky to see turtles mating on two different dives. The crew explained to us that itās mating season for turtles around this time of the year.
