A real man will wear any color, I just happen to wear black, :11:
seriously though wear whatever you want, red is a good color to identify you to others, you might get some ribbing at first, lol FWIW I've got a set of black 80's a silver set of 104's, 2 white 95's, list goes on and on and on lol

Instead of painted or shot-blast aluminum tanks I prefer brushed aluminum. Nice and shiny, no paint to chip off, and they'll keep their appearance for a good long while. This is a pic of one of my brushed aluminum 80s.

I have two yellow (including my nitrox tank) and one blue.

I've always thought gloss black tanks were sexy. My oldest steel tank is gloss black.

The problem is, the paint gets the hell beat out of it & they start looking rough. My preference is bare tanks now, for that reason. Brushed AL or galvanized steel, as the budget allows.

Bottom line is, you buy your gear for you, not the other goober you don't even know. So get what makes you happy.

Nohing wrong with candy apple red, add some flames and some chrome and your stylin'....oh crap, though I was on musclecar.net.
Seriously though, who cares as long as you like it. Although I did have to stop wearing my old yellow, purple and black BodyGlove 5mlcause' my wife said it looked like the 90's threw up on me.:D

I wouldn't worry about that guy. I just pity people like him as he is missing out on the whole point of life, like 95% of people do, with narrow minded and ignorant views which keep society in the dark ages.

If you like red, go for it, you like blue go for it or yellow. As long as you are happy, enjoying your ding and being safe, that is all that matters.

Myself, I like the scuba hides as well.
Wonder what that guy in the shop has to say about that?

its YOUR gear, buy what YOU want. I have painted aluminum tanks with nets and mine are still nice, I do try to take care of them though.
