I have come across a team of 3 people standing in the cave tunnel in orange grove before. My wife and i were in absolute awe. Literally standing in the cave (right around the crack that goes right) talking to each other via wet notes. No emergency. Just chillin having a talk. Not bothered that we came across them like this.
But literally standing in the cave.

Unfortunately, I've heard about stories like this more than once. I decided to become a cave instructor after watching a video of 3 full cave divers literally walking around the park bench in Ginnie, it reminded me of the Stonehenge scene in Spinal Tap with the dwarves dancing around the model.

Maybe you really are mad at me for my cds comments and getting back at me with tales of my entanglement. :D

I sometimes tell people that story and even add the touch that I blew off my cath and spent 45 minutes during our post-dive debrief stewing in my own juices. :)

literally walking around the park bench in Ginnie,

To add to the list of things that would never happen because I know it is wrong, I want to get a photo sitting on park bench.

Please don't. We already damage the caves enough as cave divers just going for a dive (and that's just talking about good divers with skills).

That is why I said it would never happen.

Ok, for ALL the grief I get on CDF about my skills... you will NEVER see me standing in a cave that I am supposed to be horizontal in. I also minimally if at all stir silt with my fins and NEVER pull myself along the gold line...

Sorry, had to be said :poke:

There are caves in Missouri. Those are quite northwest of Florida, by a very loose definition :D but Florida is probably closer.
What caves can be dive besides robbidoux? Roaring river is sweet but all locked up my Mike Young. Not sure anyone could get permits to dive it besides him. I’m in SWMO though and would love to find more caves to dive.
