Can anyone tell me a price range for gue cave diving 1 class

I wasn't aware GUE had a cavern course. I'd like to hear more about this.

well, the cave 1 course. I understood it to be a cavern course. do they not have one.

lamont:
couldn't find the prices on the GUE site. $1100 if you want to do it in mexico:

http://www.dir-mexico.com/prices.htm
And right now you can deduct the 10%tax in Quintana Roo, goverment wants to support the local economy after Wilma
Funny thing is it is completely against GUE philosophy to have a cavern course.
(Not against mine btw)

ciao, mart

"Funny thing is it is completely against GUE philosophy to have a cavern course"

why is that?

$1000ish + expences

why is that?

Because overhead is overhead. Not amount of "sunlight zone" makes it less of a technical dive.

Hi,
Just so you know, the Cavern and Intro to Cave courses are part of the NSS-CDS courses. Gue does Cave1, 2 etc.
Jim gave a good reason why GUE doesn't do "cavern".
Also, GUE instructors are mostly free to charge what they like, so there is not one really set price. Depends on instructor, location, and other factors.
If you are interested you might want to get in touch with a GUE instructor here:
http://www.gue.com/info/instruct.shtml
and ask them.
In case you didn't know, you can't start at Cave1, the DIR-F is required before Cave 1 or Tech 1
